Nicolas Ibargüen, Publisher of Poder magazine, gave the welcoming remarks for the 2011 PODER abc* Business Awards, followed by keynote speaker Muhtar Kent, Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company. John King, host of CNN’s "John King USA", presided over the awards ceremony and guests enjoyed a performance by Mexican band Reik.

Additionally, the abc* Foundation announced at the dinner the social enterprise grantees selected to receive funding and hands-on advisory support from the Foundation for the following two years. These three initiatives were selected out of 34 Ashoka Fellows who presented their organizations during the three-day 2011 abc* Continuity Forum.
